Together we enhance heart health and wellbeing by learning, listening and sharing.
About Our Community
Beating Together is a private cardiac community for patients, families, carers and staff, run by University Hospitals Dorset NHS trust, and hosted by its health care professionals.
Inside the community, patients, loved ones, carers and staff are separated into two areas but come together in the main Beating Together hub. It's a bit like a house with many rooms!
By encompassing all of this material on one platform we hope that our patients are able to benefit both physically and emotionally from all it has to offer.
Patients, their families, carers and hospital staff join the community by invitation only from a member of the cardiac team.

The Community Feed
The Community Feed is located in the Community Centre hub. This is an area designed to be a place to share articles, news and test your knowledge with our fun Friday Quiz!
Safe Harbour
Safe Harbour is our Peer to Peer patient support group which offers individuals and groups the opportunity to chat with other members in a private, safe and confidential forum. Members are able to:
Share stories of their experiences
Meet others like themselves
Attend events
Support and be supported
Be able to write articles, post questions and polls
Discuss outside interests
Help shape the direction of the community
